Celtic Wedding

A 32 bar Jig for 3 couples in a 4 couple longwise set

Devised by Eddy West 2003.

1-4First couple turn giving right hand and cast off one place, second couple step up on 3 and 4.
5-8First couple turn giving left hands to face first corners.
 
9-16First couples and first corners dance half a Celtic Reel on the diagonal (see below), at the end first couple dance right round one another passing left shoulder to face second corner people who are in fourth corner position having set and danced on a quarter of the way round clockwise twice.
 
17-24 First couple and second corners dance half a Celtic Reel on the diagonal (see below), at the end first couple turn giving right hands to finish in second place own sides, at the same time first corners have set and danced a quarter of the way round clockwise twice.
 
25-32 Second, first and third couples dance six hands round and back.

Repeat having passed a couple

1-2First couple pass first corners giving right shoulders and face in the direction they were going.
3-4First couple turn giving left hands to face first corners.
 
9-16First couples and first corners dance half a Celtic Reel on the diagonal (see below), at the end first couple dance right round one another passing left shoulder to face second corner people who are in fourth corner position having set and danced on a quarter of the way round clockwise twice.
 
17-24 First couple and second corners dance half a Celtic Reel on the diagonal (see below), at the end first couple turn giving right hands to finish in second place own sides, at the same time first corners have set and danced a quarter of the way round clockwise twice.
 
25-32 Second, first and third couples dance six hands round and back.
